25 Years from now who’s going to be in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

Let’s imagine what the world of music will be like 25 years from now. Maybe there’ll be flying cars taking us to concerts, virtual music events, voting will take place on line, downloads will take fractions of a second, and of course we’ll have the rock n roll hall of fame. And we’ll certainly be celebrating who’s made it. Who are the bands you listen to today that you think have a chance at making it to the 25 year mark? And who do vote for on the winners on 2011’s list?
Here’s the 2011 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees: Alice Cooper, The Beastie Boys, Bon Jovi, Chic, Neil Diamond, Donovan, Dr. John, The J.Geils Band, LL Cool J, Darlene Love, Laura Nyro, Donna Summer, Joe Tex, Tom Waits and Chuck Willis.
500 Ballats go out to homes. To be chosen your first single or album had to have been released 25 years ago. Now I’ve been around for 25 years and when I think of the Beastie Boys I just can’t believe they were rocking our world 25 years ago.

The winners are announced in December. And the party is March 14th in New York. You can watch it on Fuse.

This is just like MTV and VH1 used to be before they started airing reality TV junk.

The classic 80s block is great. The golden age of videos when the medium was new and it was like the wild wild west of music.

The freakiest one Ive seen is that HOT CHIP video with Anti-Jesus who resembles Obama (turning from black into white) that has a white electric breath death ray attacking people on the stage and then comes the disembodied Al Roker-looking head who is apprently supposed to be God with the red laser beam eyes frying anti-Jesus and the band standing in the front row of the audience. Simulateously Cool and Disturbing.
